Stepping Back in Time At The Hippie Hut

My son and I decided to be tourists in our own town. We came to a realization that even though we have lived in Columbus, Oh for a long time we never truly were able to explore and take in what is downtown Columbus. So our first stop in tourist adventure brings us to The Hippie Hut.

From the outside it looks like a little hole in the wall with tie dyed sheets for curtains.

. From first thought you may think, wow they probably sell so much marijuana in there! Alas, I was guilty of such thoughts. Upon entering the Hippie Hut you are greeted by a soft spoken young man who is very knowledgable and very helpful.

Inside you find locally made items that put to shame your first initial thought of it being a weed house.

Locally made purses, leather flipflops, ponchos, paintings, handmade soap, body butters, resin keychains and so much more!

There hanging on the wall handmade guitars that were truly one of a kind.

There is even a beautiful iguana and his name is The Dude. He was very personable and loves attention.

This place was like stepping back in time. It almost reminded of a shop you would find the gang going to on Scooby Doo. The prices definitely resonable and I can honestly say if your in the market for handmade one of a kind gifts then this place is one you want to see. This is definitely a place I wish to visit and frequent for all my body butter and sage needs!
